Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.

We’ll then cover some of the advantages of shooting with a prime lens, and some basic techniques to using the 50mm lens. I really enjoyed this session. Will is very warm and pleasant and created a welcoming environment upon entrance. We focused on Rembrandt and Butterfly lighting set ups, providing both theory and examples of each. I liked that there was plenty of time for applying this in practice, not only with shooting but looking at the use of the lighting set ups, blocking light and using a reflector. It was equally fun to take turns being a model for the practical session. As someone who is very rarely in front of a camera, Will also made this practice feel comfortable. He also helped us with posing, framing and adjusting the cameras settings to achieve the best results with each portrait. This is a class that I would happily book onto again, to continue to learn and develop this new skill into studio headshot photography. Thank you Will!

The instructor (Amman Ali) is a very talented photographer and great instruction skills. He dedicated a lot of extra time, i.e. outside the scheduled 2 hours to go through the concepts of manual photography. We were very blessed to have him our instructor and will highly recommend him.

It was fabulous. First, there were only two of us and thankfully we were of similar experience so we jumped straight into a conversation with Amaan. It was like having Yoda to ourselves for 2.5 hours. In the event we took very few photos, but the opportunity to discuss a range of technical and artistic issues with him was invaluable. He was open, patient and extremely knowledgable. Whilst I did learn a couple of technical tricks, the majority of our time was spent discussion the balance of different techniques. I had a thoroughly engrossing time and can?t thank or recommend Amaan enough.

This image captures the ever-evolving skyline of Nine Elms, London, during the calm of blue hour. I wanted to showcase the tranquil side of this high-rise cluster, which is usually seen bustling with life. To create this smooth and dreamy rendition of the River Thames and the clarity of the buildings, I used a technique called exposure stacking. The final image consists of 8 separate long exposures ranging from 5.7 seconds to 40.3 seconds. These were carefully blended to produce a refined, almos

I'd gone to Primrose Hill in the hope of getting some shots of the Super Moon, athough a little cloudy I managed to get some decent shots (I think I ended up with about a hundred which isn't bad for me, I been known to take about three hundred at say Carnival, lol) . I chose Primerose Hill as it seemed to be the highest point I could think of that might allow me to get a good view and I'd been there before it was very cloudy that night with no breaks in the clouds.
