Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.

The 50mm lens is one of the flexible and useful lenses in any photographer’s gear bag. It is neither a wide-angle or telephoto lens, but allows the camera to see on the same scale as your eye.
